We are currently seeking an experienced Dog Trainer to join our team! We are looking for an individual that can demonstrate deep knowledge of dog breeds, behaviors, training tactics, and a successful portfolio. This role will challenge you to not only lead training classes but also work one on one with our clients to build strong client relationships!
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group dog training classes
- Work with dogs of all breeds and sizes on obedience and behavior modification
- Educate pet parents on proper training techniques and dog behavior
- Coach and educate our internal team on dog behavior and safe handling practices
- Travel to client homes and designated training locations
- Provide exceptional customer service with clear, positive communication
- Maintain accurate training records and progress updates
Requirements:
✅ Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT) or equivalent certification required
✅ Minimum 2+ years professional dog training experience
✅ Solid knowledge of canine behavior and behavior modification techniques
✅ Comfortable working with dogs of all temperaments
✅ Ability to manage both private lessons and group classes
✅ Reliable, insured vehicle — this is an on-the-road position
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Willingness to work weekends
✅ Passionate about ongoing learning and aligned with Dan’s Pet Care mission
Qualifications:

Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
